WAMM No Iran War Press Confernce

WAMM had a Press Conference on the steps of the state capitol, July 9, on not attacking Iran. Many leading clergy and others were present to sign the petition and to speak

The Free Speech Zone offers a space for contributions from readers, without editing by the TC Daily Planet. This is an open forum for articles that otherwise might not find a place for publication, including news articles, opinion columns, announcements and even a few press releases.


KSTP was present, not sure if they had tape in camera, WCCO Radio showed up for a few minutes. No local press coverage.

There was a group of mideast journalists who just happened to be visiting the capitol. They didn’t know this was not news so they reported extensively on it (including a slide show):

Rock-Tenn Public Meetings: September 6 and 15

Opportunities for citizen input on final recommendations for Rock-Tenn are coming up fast. The public comment period ends September 19 for written comments, with meetings held before then on Saturday, September 6 and Monda, September 15.

In addition to recommending biogas as the first choice for fuel, the Rock-Tenn Community Advisory Panel (RCAP) recommended a goal of zero waste for St. Paul, rejected any use of refused-derived fuel (RDF), and urged that the state change laws so that RDF cannot be classified as a renewable fuel.
